Hello LeRoy,

The Vegas crew, John Holland, Larry Dawson and I, along with Carl Stephens finally installed some of the tile on the plaque that the class will be presenting to the new Las Vegas High School. Carl still has some of the black marble tile to laser etch so we can’t say we are done yet but at least it is a start. The school is doing a complete makeover in the theater lobby and they are going to make it a memorabilia room for the old high school. We intend to dedicate our plaque at the same time the school dedicates the room but we do not have a date as of now.

I have attached some pictures that I took today so you can see what we have done so far:

If you would post these on our web page it would be appreciated and also we might mention that if any classmates would like to make a donation towards this project it would be appreciated. Donations can be sent to John Holland, LVHS Class of 1953 at 1770 Autumn Rust Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89119. Tony Bell got the plaque built at no charge, and I got the painting donated but for the rest of the things we were unable to get donated, got some price reductions but no total donations, funds from the class paid for those items but we still need to pay for the Plexiglas cover as well as an aluminum frame to hold the Plexiglas on.

Our 55th Reunion was held on June 6 and 7, 2008 in Las Vegas! It was very successful and a lot of fun!!!.
The reunion events were Friday, June 6,5pm at Rex Bell's home, Saturday June 7,9:00am golf at Legacy Golf Club, Saturday June 7, 5pm dinner at Bonnie Springs Ranch.
