Catherine Blackman Hammelrath and her husband Bill Jefferson reside in Las Vegas. Catherine taught English and Spanish in public schools for over 28 years, the last 17 at LVHS. Catherine is teaching adult education (English I, II, III, IV, GED preparation, Writing Proficiency for State Exam) part time which she really loves to do. She has raised four children and has 2 grandchildren. Along with Bill's three children and 6 grandchildren they have a great progeny to enjoy. Catherine also loves to tend her flower garden in her back yard. They also like to go four wheeling in the sand dunes around the west.
