FAWN HARDING, age 71, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away Monday, September 18, 2006. She was born June 3, 1935 in Payson, Utah, a daughter of Lawrence Harding and Mary Beatrice Hiatt Harding. Fawn was raised in Las Vegas and was a 1953 Graduate of Las Vegas High School. Fawn was one of the original Rythmettes, the famous drill team from Las Vegas High School. She was an active member of the Church Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints throughout her life. Fawn was also an avid bowler and participated in many leagues. She was a devoted homemaker and mother for 22 years before beginning a career with the Clark County Clerk’s Office. Fawn was also involved in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Laureate Pi Chapter, and was blessed to have many friendships with her sorority sisters. After retiring last October, Fawn enjoyed traveling and spending time with her 11 grandchildren, Tyson, Taylor, John, Cydney, Cassidy, Garrett, Cole, Sara, Connor, Jadyn, and Amanda. After battling cancer, Fawn passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children; Wade Simpson and his wife Laura, Robin Bryan and her husband Dean, and Jay Simpson and his wife Adrien. She was greatly loved and will be missed by her brothers, Shirl Harding and Glen Harding, her sisters, Marilyn Anderson and Kathryn Parker, and all of her extended family.
Services will be held Friday, September 22, 2006 at the Church Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on 9011 Hillpointe Drive in Summerlin. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m.. Fawn will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Provo City Cemetary at 610 South State Street in Provo, Utah. A viewing at Wheeler Mortuary, 311 E. 200 South, Springville, Utah will be held Saturday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with graveside service at 2:30 p.m.
